CAG X Collage Collage | Theatre Diorama
For our second remote Open Studio with Erin Boniferro of Collage Collage, Erin shows us how materials found around the house can be used to make a diorama inspired by Althea Thauberger’s Pagal Pagal Pagal Pagal Filmy Duniya, a film that explores community in and around a cinema house in Karachi, Pakistan.
Watch the video and follow along as Erin creates a three-dimensional diorama of a theatre out of a simple box. She’ll share tips and tricks for using paper, found images and other collage materials to bring your diorama to life.
We have a limited supply of free diorama kits available at the gallery. Come by to see Althea Thauberger’s film in person and pick one up! You can schedule a visit here. Or, gather the materials below at home to get started.
