Myfanwy MacLeod's Where I Lived, and What I Lived For was inspired by Henry David Thoreau's autobiography of his stay at Walden. MacLeod used her residency at Glenfiddich Distilleries in a remote region of Scotland to reflect on the anxieties associated with the nature of economy. As part of this new body of work MacLeod exhibited her first large-scale series of photographs, along with drawings of marijuana grow-ops, and a sculptural installation.
