Christos Dikeakos (Greece, b.1946) is a Vancouver photographer, who for over 40 years has built a practice that uses local contexts to address larger aesthetic and socio-political concerns. Bridging photo-conceptual traditions with documentary formats, Dikeakos has developed a body of work that captures the changing conditions of an expanding and contracting urban centre. He is currently developing Patisserie Duchamp, a complex installation that presents a social history of smoking.
