Are you interested in volunteering at the Contemporary Art Gallery?

We offer many ways for you to get involved, meet new friends and learn new skills. Our volunteers serve on committees, assist with curatorial research, maintain the Abraham Rogatnick Library and provide support for visitors and special events. Volunteers receive invitations to our events, a subscription to the quarterly members' newsletter, an exhibition catalogue of their choice, a members' discount on our publications and a letter of reference.

If you would like to volunteer, please visit the gallery and then drop off or email us your resume. Include a cover letter outlining the skills and experience you wish to share with us, as well as the goals you hope to achieve from volunteering at the Contemporary Art Gallery. The Contemporary Art Gallery is generously supported by volunteers, members and numerous individuals, foundations, corporations and government agencies. Without the incredible people behind what we do, we wouldn't be able to grow and thrive as Vancouver's only independent public gallery dedicated exclusively to contemporary visual art. And we certainly wouldn't be able to offer our exhibitions and programs free of charge.

As we strive to grow our education and outreach programs and continue to show new works by local and international artists, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to meet our fundraising goals. More than 50% of our support comes from the private sector. Please consider giving to our annual operating fund which directly offsets the costs of our free programs and exhibitions, or make a gift to our Operating Endowment Fund where your donation will support the Contemporary Art Gallery in perpetuity.
