Fiona Banner

Fiona Banner graduated from Goldsmiths College with an MA in Fine Arts (1991). In 2005 she was short-listed for the celebrated Turner Prize, which included an exhibition of new work at Tate Britain in London. Her work includes sculpture, drawings and installations, generally with text as a central component. Her work has been in solo exhibitions worldwide, at Hayward Gallery, London and Dundee Contemporary Art, Scotland. She is known to Vancouver audiences through her solo exhibition Soixante-Neuf at the Charles H. Scott Gallery (2004) and her participation in Body: New Art from the UK at the Vancouver Art Gallery (2005).
