Martha Wilson

Martha Wilson (USA, b. 1947) is a performance and video artist who came to the fore in the early 1970s with dialogue driven performances about her personal experiences. In the mid eighties, she embraced satire as a political tool, performing as a cast of American first and second ladies, including Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush and Tipper Gore. She is the founding director of Franklin Furnace Archive Inc., New York.
