Ron Terada

Ron Terada lives and works in Vancouver. He studied at University of British Columbia, Emily Carr Institute and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Terada is well known for Entering City of Vancouver (2002), a made-to-scale highway sign referring to regional identification and the difficulty with geographically defined exhibitions, which has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. His work began in the field of painting, but has since expanded to include neon signs, multi-media sculpture, installation, and most recently, small colour photographs. He has recently exhibited at Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, UK, and at Mercer Union in Toronto. Terada has exhibited internationally including Shanghai, New York, Sydney and Antwerp.
