Deleted Scenes

Hadley+Maxwell

MAR 31, 2006 to
MAY 28, 2006

Through their practice Hadley + Maxwell build a tension between politics and aesthetics. Deleted Scenes formally played out a series of absences over six new works. Essentially, each piece contained something of nothing. Some works did so humorously, as in the video Language to be Looked at, where Hadley threw objects at Maxwell's head, while others carried a more sober tone like Promise, a white flag at half-staff.
