Vibeke Tandberg

Vibeke Tandberg studied at the College of Fine arts in Bergen, Norway (1994) and obtained her MFA from the Department of Film and Photography at the University of Gothenborg, Sweden (1997). She currently works in London and Oslo and has exhibited internationally, including Galerie Klosterfelde in Berlin and Sprengel Museum in Hannover, Germany. She has also participated in exhibitions in Japan, Italy, Mexico and the USA. Her work is generally photo or film-based, concerning issues surrounding identity, gender, beauty and youth. Tandberg commonly uses herself as subject and model in her own works. Through this multiplicity of her ever-changing image, Tandberg emphasizes the uncertainty and dependence of an individual within a society.
