Elad Lassry

Elad Lassry (b.1977, Tel-Aviv) often works the conventions of still life, using stock photograph, and other appropriated images to make arrangements that rest in the language of commercial culture but only as reference. Lassry received an MFA, University of Southern California, Los Angeles (2007) and BFA, California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA (2003). Recent solo exhibitions include: Massimo De Carlo, Milan (2010); Kunsthalle Zürich (2010); David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles (2009); Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City (2009); and The Art Institute of Chicago (2008). Lassry lives and works in Los Angeles.
