Cerith Wyn Evans works and lives in London. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1984, and began his career as a filmmaker. His work has since evolved into something more difficult to categorize, including new media, sound, poetry and light in unsuspected combinations of materials and language. His work is an expression of his fascination with history, encryption and intertextuality. Wyn Evans has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, including Documenta 11 (2002).
