Since graduating from Wesleyan University in 1989 with a B.A. in Fine Art, Rachel Harrison has had solo exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2004) and the Milwaukee Art Museum (2002). Her work has been included in the 4th Berlin Biennale (2006), Carnegie International (Pittsburgh, 2004), The Venice Biennale (2003), and the Whitney Biennial (New York, 2002). She has participated in exhibitions at the Migros Museum (Zurich, 2005), Westfalischer Kunsteverein (Munster, 2005), Brooklyn Museum of Art (2004, 1997), PS1 Contemporary Art Center (2002, 2000, 1998), and the Museum of Modern Art (2001, 1998). Her solo exhibition Checking the Tires, Not To Mention The Marble Nude opened at Galerie Christian Nagel (Cologne) in May of 2006. Harrison is represented by Greene Naftali Gallery, New York.
