Antonia Hirsch was born in Frankfurt, Germany and has been working and living in Vancouver since 1995. She graduated from Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design in London (1994). She has exhibited across Canada, including solo shows at Access Artist Run Centre (1997), Artspeak (2003) and Or Gallery (1999) in Vancouver, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions abroad exhibiting at the Liu-Haisu Museum in Shanghai (2004) and the Eslite Vision Art Space in Taipei (2006). She is a multi-media artist dealing with concepts of perception and systems of representation, whose work often takes form as video, installation or photography.
