Henrik Håkansson

DEC 1, 2007 to
JAN 13, 2008

Henrik Håkansson documented individual wasps in flight. He used a specialized high-speed video camera, the same used to collect information related to growth and motion, to capture their movements in slow motion, a fifth of a second in real time equals 30 seconds of film. The video was transferred to film, and projected using ten different 16mm films that created the buzz of insects with the sound of the projectors.
